Editorial Policy
How we research, what we cite, and how we correct mistakes.
Our standards
DinoStacks covers personal finance — a "Your Money or Your Life" topic. That means the bar for accuracy and sourcing is high. Our content is written to be honest first and persuasive never: we lead with failure rates, we show medians not just averages, and we never use language that implies a guaranteed or fast result.
How we research
- We prefer primary sources — Federal Reserve data, BLS wage statistics, SBA survival data, and academic return series.
- Where a survey is used (for example, the Ramsey Solutions National Study of Millionaires), we label it as self-selected and note that it is directional, not a probability sample.
- We state the definition behind every statistic (for example, whether "millionaire household" includes primary-home equity).
Sourcing rules
- Every statistic carries an inline citation with the source name and publication date.
- Full sources are listed at the bottom of each page with access dates.
- We verify every URL before publication. A citation that cannot be verified is marked as pending and either fixed or removed before it ships.
- We do not cite a source we have not seen. No fabricated citations, ever.
Review cadence
Every money page carries a "last reviewed" date, distinct from its publish date. Content is re-reviewed at least annually, and sooner when a referenced statistic is updated by its source (for example, a new SCF release or BLS wage report).
Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Material corrections are noted on the page with the date of the correction. To report an error, contact us — we read everything and correct promptly.
What we will not publish
- Income-claim testimonials or screenshots.
- Language implying guaranteed, fast, or effortless results ("up to," "secret," "hack," "loophole").
- Content promoting courses, coaching, trading signals, MLM, or any "money-making opportunity."
- Statistics we cannot attribute to a real, verifiable source.
Independence
No one can buy a recommendation or a favorable number on DinoStacks. Our funding (display ads and disclosed affiliate links) does not influence what we write. See about for the full funding model.
